On the water | Sifnos
The Sifnos coastline
Three hours along our own south coast. Chrysopigi from the water, and a swim at Fykiada, which you cannot reach by road.

You do not have to leave Sifnos for this one. The south coast has Chrysopigi, the monastery on its rock, and coves like Fykiada that you only reach on foot or by water. A La Mer run it as a three-hour trip from the marina, about 18 nautical miles, from €550 for the boat in 2026, up to seven people. They do not sell a sunset trip. If you want to be on the water in the evening, ask them for a private charter that goes out late.
The route
- 01Out from Platis Gialos marina
- 02Swim at Fykiada, the cove with no road
- 03Along the coast to Apokofto and Chrysopigi
- 04Further along the coast, then back
What you'll see
Chrysopigi monastery from the water, Fykiada, which has no road to it, and the coast beyond.
Who it suits
Families, and anyone who has not been out on a boat here before. Three hours, close to home, calm water.
Good to know
Can you do a sunset boat trip from Sifnos?
A La Mer do not sell one as a set trip. Ask them for a private charter that goes out late in the day. Other boats in Platis Gialos sell a fixed three-hour sunset cruise.
What is Fykiada?
A quiet beach on the south coast of Sifnos with no road to it. You get there on foot or by boat, and it is one of the swim stops on this trip.
