Sifnos Villas with a Private Pool: The 12 Best for 2027

12 villas on Sifnos where the pool belongs to your booking alone, all of them sized for 6 to 10 guests. Figures were read from each property's own website or its operator's listing on 2026-09-15. Where nobody publishes a number, the cell is left blank. We do not guess.
How this list was built
Three things decide what appears here. The pool has to belong to the villa, not to a complex shared with other guests. The property has to be rentable whole. And it has to sleep 6 to 10. That last one matters most. Inside the band the list is complete, so no qualifying villa has been dropped to make ours look better. Larger houses exist and are named below. Every fact traces to a source we opened, named in its row, and a property that publishes nothing gets an empty cell.

Verified 2026-09-15. Every villa here sleeps 6 to 10. Rates are per week as each property publishes them, ours included, so the column compares like with like. Sources are named in the row.
Outside the band: Sifnos also has private-pool villas for more than 10 guests, among them Villa Olysea (12), Villa Miró (12), Lithos Estate (12), Villa Thola (14), Villa Calder (14), Villa Oly (14), Villa Callas (18). They are left out because size drives price, and putting them in this table would tell you nothing useful.
Named for completeness but not placed: Villa Arades, Verina Villa, Vathi each have a pool of their own and publish neither capacity nor rates, so the size band cannot be applied to them.
Two that are listed as “private pool” but are not
Both appear on booking sites under “private pool”, and both describe a pool shared across the whole complex on their own websites. Check that before you book from a listing page.

One of the Ten in Detail: Villa Olivia Clara
We wrote this guide, and we own one of the villas in it. The table gives Villa Olivia Clara the same columns as everyone else. Where another house on the island suits you better, the table shows it.
Villa Olivia Clara is our house, and it sits in the table above on the same columns as everyone else. 250 m² above Platis Gialos, four bedrooms, sleeps eight, and nobody else on the property while you are there.

If a house for eight above Platis Gialos, with its own pool and hosts who live on the island, is what you want, the whole of it is on the page for Villa Olivia Clara, a four-bedroom luxury villa in Sifnos with a private pool. And if one of the other villas fits you better, we hope you have a wonderful time on Sifnos.
Guests have written about their own stays on our reviews page.
How Much Do Sifnos Villas Cost?
Across the 6 to 10 guest villas compared above, published rates run from €6,665 to €25,715 a week. Only the top and bottom of each property's own band are known, so a season-by-season figure for the others would be invention.
Ours is published in full, season by season.
| Season | Per night | Per week |
|---|---|---|
| 15–25 May | €1,400 | €9,800 |
| 26 May to 18 June | €1,600 | €11,200 |
| 19–30 June | €2,100 | €14,700 |
| July and August | €2,200 | €15,400 |
| 1–10 September | €1,900 | €13,300 |
| 11–30 September | €1,600 | €11,200 |
Split between eight guests, €1,400 a night is about €175 each. Villa Olivia Clara books direct, and the season closes on 30 September.
Best Areas in Sifnos for Villas with Pools
Sifnos is about 15 km end to end, and half an hour of driving takes you from the port to almost any beach. It still matters where you sleep. These are the four areas the villas sit in.
Platis Gialos, for beach days

Platis Gialos is one of the longest sandy beaches on Sifnos and one of the busiest places to stay. Sun loungers, tavernas, calm clear water. The road behind the beach has the pottery workshops on it, and the island has made ceramics for some three thousand years. Stay here and you walk to the beach and the restaurants and the shops without a car.
Apollonia, for village life and evenings out

Apollonia is the capital. In the evening the whole island comes here. Its pedestrian street is the Steno, with the shops and the bars and the restaurants on it. Stay near Apollonia if you want to walk to dinner and eat out every night. It sits in the middle of the island, so most beaches are a 10 to 25 minute drive.
Vathi, for quiet and for the water

Vathi is a sheltered bay on the southwest coast, 15 to 20 minutes' drive from Apollonia, or a walk on the Apollonia to Vathi trail, about 9 km and 3h50 one way. A handful of good tavernas sit right on the sand, with a monastery at the edge of the beach. The villas near Vathi are the quietest on the island. Couples take them, and people who want to be left alone.
Kastro, for the history and the views

Kastro is the old capital, on a cliff above the sea. Medieval walls, narrow lanes, the archaeological museum. Plenty of visitors call it the most striking village on the island. What you rent here is usually a traditional house, and you take it for the views and the history.
What to Compare Across Sifnos Pool Villas
Photographs flatter pools. Here is what we would check.
Pool Comparison Checklist
- Size and sun: A big pool that gets the sun is worth a lot in May, June and September, when the air is warm and the sea has not caught up. Look at the size and which way it faces.
- Depth for children: For families, a pool of roughly 8 m by 4 m or larger gives children room to swim and play. Check the depth at the shallow end too, because a long pool with no shallow area suits adults more than young children.
- Sea views from pool: Many villas advertise sea views while the pool itself faces inland. Check the photographs carefully
- Pool furniture: Sun loungers, umbrellas, and a shaded area (a cabana or a pergola) for midday heat
- Privacy: Look at whether the neighbours or the road can see into the pool
- Beach proximity: Even with a pool you will want the beach nearby. Under ten minutes on foot is the one to look for
Why Groups Choose Sifnos Villas Over Hotels
Sifnos is one of the quieter islands in the Cyclades. Pottery, cooking, the old footpaths between the villages, 237 churches. Mykonos and Santorini went another way, and we did not.
Your own pool, a kitchen you can cook in with what you buy that morning, and terraces to eat on. Nobody else is booked in with you, and you eat and swim when you like.
Villa Advantages
- Private pool, swim whenever you want
- Full kitchen, cook local recipes at home
- Several bedrooms, room for a family or a group
- Terraces, a garden and a barbecue
- Lower cost per person for groups of 4+
For groups of four or more, the cost per person usually favours a villa. The table up the page works it through.
Best Time to Visit Sifnos
July and August are the warmest, and every restaurant is open. They are also the dearest weeks and the first to go, so book six months ahead, or more. May, June, September and October are when the people who know the island come. 22 to 28°C, warm sea, fewer people, lower rates. Our best time to visit Sifnos guide covers each month in detail, including ferry schedules and festival dates.
Getting to Sifnos
Sifnos has no airport. Everyone arrives by ferry into Kamares. The high-speed boats from Piraeus take 2.5 to 3 hours and the conventional ferries about 5. From the port, hire a car (from €30 a day) or take the island bus to Platis Gialos, Apollonia or Vathi. Full routes, timetable links and transport tips are in our getting to Sifnos guide.
Things to Do Near These Sifnos Villas

Beaches
Sifnos has more than twenty-five named beaches. Platis Gialos is the longest and the best organised, Chrysopigi has the monastery on its rock, Vathi is the calmest bay for families, and Faros links three coves by a short coastal path. Which ones suit children, which are worth snorkelling, and how far each is from the villas, that is all in our Sifnos beaches guide.
Hiking & Activities
Sifnos has over 100 km of marked ancient trails, and there are pottery workshops, cooking classes and boat tours as well. Walk Apollonia to Kastro, 45 minutes. The long one is Apollonia to Vathi, about 9 km and 3h50 one way. See our Sifnos island guide for detailed trail notes and activity recommendations.
Food & Cooking Classes
We would call Sifnos the gastronomic capital of the Cyclades, and most Greeks would agree. Revithada is the slow-cooked chickpea stew. Mastelo is lamb or goat cooked in red wine. And the cheeses. Several cooking schools teach the traditional dishes, and you have a kitchen to practise in.
Pottery Workshops
The island has made pots for some three thousand years. Studios in Platis Gialos and Vathi will sit you at a wheel, and they sell what they make. The fireproof cooking pots are the tsikali, and those are what people take home.
The boat days are on our boat tours from Sifnos page.
Frequently Asked Questions About Sifnos Villas
Where are the best Sifnos villas with private pool?
Most of them sit in or near Platis Gialos, Apollonia and Vathi, and a few are scattered elsewhere on the island. For the beach, Platis Gialos. Apollonia is the one for village evenings and walking to dinner. Our house is between the two, 7 to 10 minutes on foot down to Platis Gialos beach.
How much does a luxury villa in Sifnos cost per night?
Luxury whole-villa rentals on Sifnos run from €900 to €2,500 a night and up, depending on size and season. Ours is from €1,400 for the whole house, up to eight guests.
Are Sifnos villas family-friendly for children?
Yes, and ours is set up for it. Villa Olivia Clara sleeps 8, with a travel cot and a high chair on request, a full kitchen, and a garden with room to play. The pool is not fenced. It has no cover and no alarm, so with a small child in the house somebody has to be watching whenever the doors are open.
Can I bring pets to a Sifnos villa?
Pet policies vary by villa. Some on Sifnos welcome well-behaved pets and others take no animals at all, usually because of allergies, so ask the host before you book. We do not take pets at Villa Olivia Clara.
How far is Platis Gialos from the best Sifnos villas?
Platis Gialos is the most popular beach area to stay in, and the villas around it run from 5 to 20 minutes by car. Ours is a 7 to 10 minute walk from the beach, downhill on the way there. The restaurants, the shops and the pottery workshops are all within walking distance.
Is a villa in Sifnos better than a hotel?
For a family or a group, yes. The whole house is yours, the pool, the kitchen, a table outside to eat at, and you are the only booking on the property.
When is the best time to book a Sifnos villa?
For July and August, book six months ahead, or more. May, June and September are the better weeks anyway. 22 to 28°C, the sea is warm, and the island is not full.
How do I get to Sifnos from Athens?
You come by ferry from Piraeus. The high-speed boats take about 2.5 hours, the conventional ones about 5. In summer there are several departures a day, and you can also come across from Mykonos or Santorini on the inter-island boats.
Do Sifnos villas include daily housekeeping?
It varies by villa. At our house it is twice a week, and daily if you ask. Some villas only clean at check-in and check-out.
Can I book a villa in Sifnos for a wedding or event?
Our house has had milestone birthdays, anniversaries, vow renewals and small family gatherings, all of them for the people staying in the house. Anything bigger than a family dinner, ask Elena before you book. She takes those case by case, and she can point you to a private chef.
What is there to do near villas in Sifnos?
Dozens of beaches, the old footpaths between the villages, pottery workshops, cooking classes in the local dishes, 237 churches and monasteries, restaurants people come to the island for. Boat trips to the neighbouring islands go out from Platis Gialos.
Is Sifnos good for a family holiday?
Sifnos is one of the best Cycladic islands for families. It is safe and walkable, and the beaches at Vathi and Kamares are shallow and calm for small children. None of the party scene of Mykonos or Ios. A pool helps too, as long as somebody is watching the water.
