The whole house above Platis Gialos, yours alone
Our family built Villa Olivia Clara above Platis Gialos on Sifnos, and we have hosted guests here ourselves since 2015. 250 m² inside, four bedrooms, sleeping eight. Nobody else is on the property while you are here, and Elena takes the booking herself.
Walking distance to the beach
Walk 7 to 10 minutes downhill and you are on Platis Gialos, one of the longest sandy beaches on the island. It faces south, so the water stays calm and clear, and the tavernas are right on the sand. Apollonia is 15 to 20 minutes by car.

Sleeping arrangements
Four bedrooms for up to eight, across the main house and a separate guest house. Two families or two generations can each have their own front door.

Master bedroom
The principal room, with an en-suite bathroom and the bay in view.
Second bedroom
Made up as a king for a couple, or as twins for children or friends.
The guest house
A separate building with two bedrooms sharing one and a half bathrooms.

The larger of the two guest-house rooms.

Same again. King, or twins.
The whole house goes to one party, guest house included, so nobody else is on the site while you are here. Tell Elena who's coming and she'll have the beds made up the way you need them.

Pool & Outdoor Areas
A 12 × 5 m pool above the bay, unheated. Two stone cabanas beside it, one the shaded bar, the other set over the pool. The loungers face east, so they get the sunrise.

Bedrooms
Four bedrooms, eight people. Two rooms have king beds, the other two are made up as kings or twins. Air conditioning in all four, and we change the linen during your stay.

Where you'll be
On the south coast, above Platis Gialos. The beach is 7 to 10 minutes on foot down the hill. Apollonia is 15 to 20 minutes by car, the port 20 to 30.

How the house gets used.
Morning: coffee on the terrace
The sun hits the pool terrace early, the house faces east. Someone puts the De'Longhi on for the first cappuccinos. Most mornings somebody is in the pool before breakfast is on the table.
Midday: everyone around the pool
Loungers in the sun, shade under the cabanas, music low at the bar. Most groups don't leave the pool terrace until the afternoon.
Late afternoon: down to the beach
When it cools off, walk the 7 to 10 minutes down to Platis Gialos for a swim and a drink on the sand. The walk back is uphill, but it's short.
Evening: dinner outside
Dinner on the terrace, cooked by you or by a chef Elena can recommend. The bay goes quiet and the lights come on across the water.
Celebrations & Gatherings
Four bedrooms, and nobody else on the site while you are here. Groups book the house for the big years. A milestone birthday. Three generations who wanted to be under one roof.
